WORK Microwave is looking for an experienced 

Digital Design Engineer (m/f/d)

to strengthen our FPGA design team. 

 

What will expect you in this role

  • Design, implementation and verification of complex digital designs targeting FPGA devices
  • Integrate algorithms for digital signal processing (DSP) in close collaboration with our DSP and product teams
  • Verification of functionality and validation in device context under usage of external stimulation and test scripting 
  • Act as driven engineer willing and able to tackle complex technical issues using expertise and ingenuity
  • Working with a team appreciating creativity, gathering experiences and getting the job done
  • Joint responsibility for the technical team goals: on quality, on time, performance, maintainability and scalability

What you can contribute

  • Enthusiasm for new technologies in the field of high-speed data and signal processing
  • 5+ years proven  work experience in digital designs on FPGAs within an industrial context
  • Expert knowledge in at least one hardware definition language (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Very good knowledge of up-to-date FPGA technologies (Xilinx or others)
  • Experience with HW/SW Co-Design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English or German
  • Practical knowledge in the implementation of complex algorithms in digital signal processing (e.g. FEC decoders, digital filters, ...) would be a plus
