Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer (m/w/d)

You will be working with a team who appreciates creativity, gathering experiences and getting the job done. This opportunity requires a driven engineer willing and able to tackle complex technical issues using expertise and ingenuity.

 

What will expect you in this role

  • Design and validate digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for a broad field of applications, including:
    • software defined radio
    • free-space optical communications
    • radar systems
    • microwave sensors
  • Contribute to the implementation of critical algorithms in FPGA and/or software
  • Close collaboration with our product teams and other development teams
  • Joint responsibility for the technical team goals: on quality, on time, performance, maintainability and scalability

What you can contribute

  • Advanced understanding of digital signal processing and communications engineering (M.Sc., Ph.D. or comparable experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Solid experience with modeling tools and languages (e.g. MATLAB, Python, GNU Radio)
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one of these fields:
    • development of complex HDL modules in VHDL or Verilog (e.g. for signal demodulation or channel decoding at high data rates)
    • development of performance-critical DSP software in C or C++ (possibly using SIMD methods)

How to stand out from the crowd:

  • Expertise with the AMD/Xilinx FPGA development toolchain (Vivado, Vitis, HLS)
  • Familiarity with physical layer standards for satellite communications (DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS, CCSDS, 5G NR)
  • System-level understanding of satellite communications systems (possibly including 5G Non-Terrestrial-Networks)
  • Experience in virtualization technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker)
  • Experience in standardization committees
